Checking the Freight License

With all the new regulations now in force, it can be more difficult to find a freight company you can rely on. You can check the status of their license by going to the government site

Check vehicle operator decisions and applications – Vehicle Operator Licensing – GOV.UK (vehicle-operator-licensing.service.gov.uk)

This tells you any restrictions the company may have and how many vehicles and trailers they have. This can be particularly useful. If your chosen freight company does not have enough vehicles, they may sub out to another which could work out a lot more than expected.
