The Grand Prize: Best Film

The Red Dragons took home the top honor with their film ‘The Magical Mystical But Never Mundane’. This standout creation will now represent Manchester at Filmapalooza 2027, competing against city winners from around the globe. The film also dominated in multiple categories, including Best Writing, Best Sound Design, Best Use of Genre, Best Use of Character, and the Audience Choice Award.

Creative & Technical Achievements

The Magical Mystical But Never Mundane by The Red Dragons wasn’t just the Best Film—it also swept Best Writing, Best Sound Design, Best Use of Genre, Best Use of Character, and the Audience Choice Award, making them the undeniable stars of this year’s event.

Her Move by Rain Check Pictures was another fan favorite, winning Best Cinematography and earning finalists spots in multiple categories, including Best Film and Best Editing. The film also featured Steve Titley, whose performance in a supporting role stole the show and earned him the Best Supporting Role award.

MEDIUM HARD by WR stood out for its Best Acting Ensemble and strong showings in Best Directing and Best Use of Line.

The Mechanics of Love by Digital Daydreams impressed with wins in Best Use of Prop and Best Costume/Wardrobe, along with a Best Marketing Campaign victory.

Catfish by Happy Wednesday showcased Sara Kettman’s outstanding performance, which wowed the judges and earned her the Best Leading Role award.

A Lobster Tale by AA Films was a triple threat, winning Best Editing, Best Use of Line, and Best Original Score, with its musical brilliance setting it apart.
